3 bargain free agents the New England Patriots, Belichick must sign now
Why New England Patriots should add linebacker Kyzir White
Speaking of bargain contracts, 26-year-old linebacker Kyzir White would bring elements of that youth and speed the New England Patriots are looking for at the position.
After a breakout season with the Los Angeles Chargers in 2021, it is a surprise White hasn’t at least been re-signed in L.A. But, given the splash the team has made thus far, it appears White has been left for the taking.
With over 140 tackles and two interceptions last season, White proved he is a tackling machine who could hold his own in coverage, exactly the kind of linebacker the Patriots need in facing teams like the Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins twice a season.

Like former Chargers players like Rodney Harrison and Adrian Phillips, the Patriots could find another diamond in the rough on an affordable contract. Given his size, versatility, age and ability to be effective against the run and in coverage, this would be an under-the-radar type signing that could end up being of huge value for Belichick in his mission to rebuild that linebacker core.
Again, age is the big factor here. At just 26, Kyzir White is just entering his prime and playing under Bill Belichick could turn him into a household name when it is all said and done.
Make it happen Bill!
