The New England Patriots have turned their attention to the NFL Draft. With the first round of free agency in the rearview mirror, teams are going to focus on figuring out which players they want to select, and whether or not they want to trade up or down in the draft.

While the free agent market has gone quiet, the trade market has picked up steam recently. We have seen a couple of huge stars switch teams via trade so far this offseason, and chances are there will be more to come. As teams evaluate their draft positioning and number of picks, players on their rosters become more valuable trade chips. Typically that results in lower level players like N’Keal Harry and Joejuan Williams getting dealt for Day 3 picks (which could soon happen).

But, there’s also a chance that a big name or two could be on move if the right set of circumstances presents itself. Typically, this is the perfect time for players with contract disputes to get dealt so that teams can immediately cash in on some draft capital.

While not a super frequent situation, there just so happens to be some big names who could be on the move before the NFL Draft kicks off thanks to contract issues. And luckily for New England, two of the biggest names potentially available happen to play wide receiver, a position of need for the team despite their recent Devante Parker trade. Let’s take a look at two star wide receivers who the Patriots could trade for in an attempt to really blow up the AFC.
