The New England Patriots, particularly Bill Belichick has been roasted for letting the two most dominant players in NFL history take their talents to another team and win a Super Bowl, but perhaps fans should be celebrating how much this coach has put up with when it comes to Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski.

While Patriots fans must be fatigue from the Brady drama, the Gronkowski annoyance is becoming a bit tiresome.  But, at the same time, his will I or won’t I antics is another team’s problem.

However, the great tight end just can’t help taking shots at his former coach and team.

Rob Gronkowski finds a way to blast the New England Patriots again

During an appearance on Wednesday’s episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” the free agent playmaker was asked by Kimmel whether it was normal for players to stay in games so they can hit performance bonuses which Gronkowski did in a Week 18 matchup against the Carolina Panthers.

While Gronk could’ve given an answer and left it at that, he just couldn’t help himself contrasting what he was allowed to do with the Buccaneers to that of what Belichick would’ve allowed or wouldn’t have allowed.  According to Gronkowski, the Patriots would’ve rather keep their money in their pocket.

"“Yes, I’ve seen it before actually.  Not with the Patriots, though,” Gronkowski said, as transcribed by CBS Sports.  “I mean, they’ll probably pull you before you hit that bonus there.”"

Gronk went on to say he shouldn’t have said that, but joking or not joking, it just adds to the narrative of the Patriots being a cheap organization despite the fact the team pretty much catered to the once dominant tight end which included trading his rights to the Buccaneers so he could play with Tom Brady.

With all he has given the New England Patriots in his career, he can say what he wants, but with all Belichick and the Patriots have put up with him, how about a little class Gronkowski.

Former New England Patriots tight end undecided about 2022 NFL season

And speaking of retirement, the free agent tight end has not made up his mind whether he will play in 2022.  Patriots’ fans have certainly heard this song before.  But it appears to be a Bucs problem as Gronkowski has reiterated that if he does play it will be to play with Brady.

"“The Buccaneers situation is just too good if I decide to go back and play,” Gronk told SB Nation’s Debbie Emery last week.  “Like I said, I love all my teammates there.  They are great teammates and all selfless players, they are there for the team and what’s best for the team and the whole organization.  If I do play football again, it’ll be for the Bucs.”"

Beautiful sentiment Rob Gronkowski, and bravo for following up an interview in which you tell Jimmy Kimmel you played in a meaningless game to achieve bonus money with praising how selfless a team the Buccaneers are.
