The Boston Celtics have quickly jumped out to a strong 2-0 lead over the Brooklyn Nets in their first round playoff series. The series was highly anticipated at the beginning of the postseason, and so far the first two games have not disappointed.

Even though the Celtics find themselves with a two game advantage in this series, they cannot take their foot off the gas. They have beaten Brooklyn by a combined total of eight points in the first two games, which goes to show just how tight the games has been so far. The Nets still have two of the best players in the league in Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, so anything can happen.

Both teams have started off the series without one of their top players, and coincidentally, it looks like both will be making their return to action as the series shifts to Brooklyn. Boston’s star center Robert Williams appears to be trending towards a surprise return for Game 3, while the Nets are hoping their prized Trade Deadline acquisition, Ben Simmons, will be ready to take the court for Game 4.

The return of these two key players looks set to shake up the series. Nobody really knows what to expect from either of these players, especially Simmons considering he hasn’t played a minute of basketball this season. Let’s take a closer look at what the potential returns of these two players will mean for the Boston Celtics throughout the rest of their first round series.
