In punching back against the Milwaukee Bucks in Game 2 of  the Eastern Conference Semifinals, the Boston Celtics not only  came out tough defensively, but also came out hot offensively and no player was more hot than Jaylen Brown.

While Jayson Tatum finished the game, it was Brown red hot shooting that got the team out to an 18-3 lead.  With a game-high 30 points, including six 3-pointers, Brown had Bucks defenders skating on defense and broke a few ankles in the process.

The night belonged to Boston Celtics wing Jaylen Brown

In scoring 25 points in the first half, Brown set the tone and made sure his team was ready to go and ready to atone for their Game 1 loss.

"“We knew we had to come out and play like our season was on the line,” Brown said, via ESPN.  “And we did that.”"

They sure did.  And while there was a stretch in the third quarter where the offense did get stagnant and lag, the Celtics ran the league back up every time the Bucks looked like they were ready to make a comeback.  The star duo of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown certainly made sure of that.

But again, it’s now how Tatum, Brown and this Celtics team is responding on the court, it is what they are saying and how they are responding off the court.  There is something different about this team.  There is a motivation and hunger to win that is shining through their top two stars, which is turning out to be something special.

"“The only thing that matters is the playoffs,” Brown continued.  “Everybody, we’ve got to do what we got to do to make sure we’re ready to perform.  At this time of year, everybody has nagging injuries or things that they’re dealing with, so can’t let that be an excuse.  You got to find a way mentally and physically to overcome whatever it is and just get it done.”"

Clutching his hamstrings at times during the game, Jaylen Brown battled through and made sure his team tied this series up.  Sounds like a veteran star player doesn’t it?
