The Boston Celtics need a healthy Robert Williams

There’s no secrets when it comes to this next point. The Boston Celtics need to have a healthy Robert Williams ready to go tonight. His presence is significant and you cannot logistically tell me that it is not. Otherwise, you’re lying to yourself.

Look at what Bam Adebayo did in the one game without Williams on the court. His 31 points in Game 3 were more than he’s scored in the other three games combined.

It’s very simple; the Celtics need Robert Williams manning the paint against this Miami Heat team. Robert Williams can literally make game-altering plays on both ends of the floor, and it was extremely helpful in Game 4.

Also, look at the rebounding numbers when Williams is in the game playing. You think it was an accident that the Celtics out-rebounded the Heat on Monday night? No it wasn’t!

The bottom line is that Williams is a huge difference maker. Sure, Al Horford and Daniel Theis can help man the middle collectively. Maybe you can throw Grant Williams into the mix too. But Robert Williams is different. He’s so athletic and is a big part to what the Celtics do defensively. The team needs to make sure he’s healthy and ready to roll tonight.
