The Boston Celtics need to limit the turnovers

The Boston Celtics need to do one crucial thing in order to win tonight’s game: hold onto the basketball! It’s really quite a simple formula. When the Celtics limit the turnovers, they win pretty convincingly. When they turn the ball over on seemingly every play, they lose the games they should win.

These turnovers that I’m talking about are ones we’ve seen at points this season. The Jaylen Brown dribble and drives when all of a sudden, he loses the basketball. Then there’s the Jayson Tatum bad passes into traffic that we see and get frustrated by on a consistent bases. Don’t even get me started on the rebounds that go out of the Celtics players hands and end up out of bounds!

The point is, stay away from the turnovers! Control the basketball and keep moving it around the floor. When the Celtics start getting into iso-heavy sets, that’s where the turnovers start and the losing comes.

When they play team basketball and move the ball around in a smart manner, they perform well and win. It’s like in any other sport you may play. Take care of the ball and good results will follow. It doesn’t get much more simple than that!
