Jakob Poeltl would be an awesome fit for the Boston Celtics

The perfect target for that TPE is San Antonio Spurs center Jakob Poeltl.

Imagine a big man rotation of Al Horford, Robert Williams and Poeltl who would not only provide scoring off the bench but would be a stretch five with rebounding and rim protecting ability given his 7-foot-1 frame.

In scoring 13.5 points and averaging 9.3 rebounds last season with the Spurs, there are many teams monitoring Poeltl’s availability.  The Celtics would have to outbid other teams if they were to pursue him.  The advantage there would be Celtics head coach Ime Udoka who has familiarity with the Spurs organization.

San Antonio head coach Greg Popovich also has a lot of respect for Brad Stevens so if the Celtics can fit him financially without giving up too much, it would be another great win for Stevens this offseason as the addition of Poeltl would make the reining Eastern Conference champions even more of an NBA title favorite.

Talk about a dynamite move, this would be just that for the Boston Celtics as they would get a sharpshooting big who should fit right in.  As far as Poetlt, entering the final year of his contract could benefit his next contract if he helps the Celtics get back to the finals and win it, he should be in for a big pay day.

Make this one happen (somehow) Brad!
