The biggest thing the Boston Celtics proved during their NBA Finals run is that Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown can play together.

But what it also may have proved is that Brown is more of a Batman than just Tatum’s co-star.  He not only outplayed Tatum during the NBA Finals, but he was also a more prevalent player in the fourth quarter of games.  Yes, there were the turnovers, but there was a lot of alpha dog in Brown which does make him more popular of a player with fans than he may think.

So as the Tatum vs Brown debate moves forward, the question is starting to arise as to whether Brown feels appreciated in Boston.  Not from the Celtics organization but from fans.  Could that under-appreciation set up JB making his way out of Boston.

Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown not feeling like a star in Boston?

As he is due for an extension and just have a couple years left on his current deal, Brown’s continual mention in any major trade rumor involving the team may have him feeling a certain way.

As one of the best players in the league 25 and under, Brown’s long-term aspirations may not be with the Boston Celtics, especially if he isn’t feeling the star treatment.

Sport’s Illustrated’s Chris Mannix highlighted this during a recent appearance on NBC Sports Boston.

"“You go back to the year he was drafted.  His selection was booed on draft night from a fanbase that wanted the Celtics to draft Kris Dunn,” Mannix said, as transcribed by WEEI.  “He has been included in every trade rumor the Celtics have been connected to, from Kawhi Leonard to Anthony Davis to now potentially Kevin Durant.  So I wouldn’t fault Jaylen Brown for feeling some kind of way.”"

Would a player who seems to bleed green on the court ask for a trade?

There are a few things to consider here.  One is he is still close with Kyrie Irving who could influence such a move.  Secondly, he has joined Kaye West’s Donda Sports, which could mean a whole lot of nothing or that Jaylen has some greater aspirations on his mind.

So, we are back to Jayson Tatum vs Jaylen Brown debate.  If the sidekick doesn’t want to be a sidekick anymore and feels under-appreciated, the Boston Celtics may be forced to start exploring trades now.  Here are four blockbusters that would rock the NBA world.
