Bringing energy for Boston College Eagles

The top of the depth chart at linebacker for the Boston College Eagles brought plenty of experience entering the 2022 season.

For the most part, this group has excelled, led by Vinny DePalma.

DePalma leads the team in tackles with 32. He has three tackles-for-loss and has been disruptive in many other aspects.

One thing that has been missing from DePalma, and other defenders, is the lack of the big play. Forcing turnovers and collecting sacks are about on par where they were last season. DePalma does have one of Boston College’s three forced fumbles. The team has recovered only one to go along with three interceptions.

Generating more turnovers could start with DePalma. He’s already a force, and igniting the defense with a huge turnover or a sack could help change the game on a dime.

Help in that department could also help up front, where one player is making an impact.
