While fans should never get too excited about NBA Preseason games, it is hard not to notice he fire and passion in the eyes of Boston Celtics star wing Jaylen Brown.

Both off the court and on the court, Brown is proving he is one of the best wings in the NBA and making that Celtics decision not to pull the trigger on a deal for Kevin Durant perhaps one of the best non-moves in NBA history.

So, let’s put that offseason debate to rest, but Brown is proving he is one of the best in the league.  Ranked just outside the top 20 in Sports Illustrated’s top 100 players for the 2022-23 NBA season, it is clear the intensity of Brown is making waves throughout the NBA.

"“Brown is the do-it-all wing every team wishes it had in the postseason,” writes SI.  “Even with his shaky handle, Brown can score pretty much however you ask him to.  He may never be a true No. 1 option, but it would be hard to find many better second ones.”"

Boston Celtics wing Jaylen Brown has emerged as the team’s Alpha Dog

In fact, Brown is the perfect complement to Jayson Tatum.  The Boston Celtics young duo haven’t even entered their prime, but it is obvious the sky is the limit for the duo who have showcased through the team’s NBA Finals run that they enjoy playing with one another and feeding off each other.  While Tatum is the All-World caliber player of the two, Brown is taking on the role as the alpha.

Taking the NBA Finals loss to the Golden State Warriors on their own court personally, Brown has made it a mission of his motivation to get his team back to the finals and over the hump.  That has showed through the first three games of the preseason in while Jaylen Brown has absolutely been on fire.

The man just has that hunger in his eyes which is showing on both sides of the court.  Not only is he averaging over 20 ppg, but it is also the efficiency of his scoring that is standing out.  Whether it is driving to the hoop or draining buckets behind the three-point stripe, it looks like there is, yet another level Brown is reaching, and it will just make the Boston Celtics a more lethal team in the 2022-23 NBA season.

Just look:

Again, it is just the preseason, but if there is any doubt about what’s driving the motivation of Jaylen Brown, this one quote about losing in the Finals will be his mantra this entire season.

"“The shoes that I wore the last game of the season, I wore every workout I had this summer…you see those shows now, they’re damn near in shreds,” Brown said, via NBC Sports Boston."

Next. To address LeBron James’ hatred for Boston. dark

Those shoes fueled him over the summer, and it looks like all that hard work is about to pay off for the Boston Celtics.  If he stays healthy and get that handle under control, it looks like a monster season is about to take the NBA by storm.
