Celtics star Jaylen Brown erupts Twitter with monster dunk vs Bulls
Watch out Dominique Wilkins, the Boston Celtics have their own version of the human highlight reel.
In the team’s 123-119 win over the Chicago Bulls Friday night at TD Garden, Jaylen Brown woke up the crowd and Twitter with another monster dunk over a defender. This time it was Bulls big man Nikola Vucevic.
While the team rode the hot scoring of Jayson Tatum and Malcolm Brogdon off the bench, Brown had his own impact on the game while just scoring 16 points. With the team up just 83-80 late in the third quarter, Brown took a nice pass from Brogdon to soar over the outstretched arms of Vucevic for a very loud throw down.

Detonated is the right description as the dunk heard throughout Boston not only brought the TD crowd alive, but also fueled the team who went on to hold off the Bulls.

As far as Jaylen Brown posters, this wasn’t the first time Vucevic was dunked on by Brown. During Vucevic’s days with the Orlando Magic, the rookie version of Brown also soared over the big man for a loud dunk. Although this dunk ignited Twitter, it still has nothing on the power dunk over Dallas Mavericks forward Maxi Kleber that had Kevin Garnett out of his seat pumping expletives in JB’s direction.
And just a week ago, the Celtics rising star make a poster out of Cleveland Cavaliers star Donovan Mitchell:
That dunk might rank over his dunk Friday night on Vucevic, but those types of dunks are always more satisfying when it comes over and through a big man.
Although Brown has become a more diversified scorer for the Boston Celtics throughout his growth over the years, it is nice to have a remember of that power and athleticism he can display at any time and from anywhere on the court.
Interesting thought from this user, but it seems the Celtics star is having more fun creating posters through the season. Also, if he is going to be at All-Star Weekend this year, it is more likely that he will be playing in the actual game vs showing off his talent in the dunk contest.
With that said, where do you rank Brown’s latest poster dunk over Vucevic?
