Speaking of Jayson Tatum, boy did this guy get off to a good start and obviously a good finish for the Boston Celtics in front of Price William and Princess Kate.
With the chants of M-V-P echoing throughout the TD Garden, Tatum poured in a total of 49 points and pulled down 11 rebounds in the victory. Impressively, every time the Heat threw their punch, it was Tatum who always had an answer just like a superstar leader does.
It was an absolute show for Tatum who showed off his dynamic ability to score from all over the court. From knocking down 3’s, to driving to the hoop to setting up his teammates, this showdown with the Heat was all about Tatum and his effort was applauded by the M-V-P chants, which made him feel a special kind of way.
"“That means everything,” Tatum told NBC Sports Boston’s Abby Chin following the game. “That’s something I’ve dreamed about as a kid, and to hear it in front of our home crowd from the best fans in the world, it holds a special place in my heart. “I love this place, I love being here, and hearing that during the game gives you chills.”"
