It’s really hard to complain about anything in 2022 if you are a diehard Boston Bruins fan. This Bruins team has the makings of a legitimate championship team.

Things have certainly changed for the Bruins in a span of seven months. From June onward, the Bruins have a new coach in Jim Montgomery, a pair of one year deals to give Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci one last chance at a Cup run, and the best record in the NHL.

So as the calendar turns into a new year, what can we expect from this Boston Bruins team? Let’s get to it!

The Boston Bruins have championship aspirations in 2023

It’s no secret that this team has championship aspirations on their mind as we get into the 2023 year.

One big thing that championship teams do is take care of business at home. The Bruins have not lost in regulation at home this season. Let me repeat that, just in case you didn’t believe it the first time. The Boston Bruins, have not lost a home game, in regulation this year. That’s insane to think about!

Not to mention that they are getting contributions from everyone else too! David Pastrnak and Brad Marchand continue to show why they are a part of the Bruins ‘big three’ along with Bergeron.  Linus Ullmark continues to be the best goaltender in the NHL this season. The third line of Charlie Coyle, Taylor Hall, and Craig Smith continue to put up solid production. Trent Frederic and Jake DeBrusk are surprising people this year.

Add up all of those factors and you have a team that is seriously contending for a Stanley Cup run.

The Boston Bruins dealing with the post-Bergeron era in 2023

This is the part that’s going to stink after the season is over. Bruins fans need to get it through their heads that this is probably the last season in which Bergeron plays in Boston.

Some could argue that Bergeron would’ve retired after last season if Bruce Cassidy was still behind the bench for the Bruins this season. After all, things didn’t look great after the Bruins were knocked out in the first round of the playoffs by Carolina last season.

But that’s all in the past. It’s fun seeing Bergeron lead this Bruins team this season. We’ll deal with the post-Bergeron era after the last game this season!

The bottom line for the Boston Bruins in 2023

This Bruins team better rid the wave this season. After 2023, times could be tough for the Black and Gold going forward.

Can the Bruins win the Stanley Cup? Yes. Will they? That remains to be seen.

Everything is going right for this Bruins team so far in 2022. 2023 hopefully will be just as good. It’s been 11 long years since the Boston Bruins raised a championship banner. This season would be as good as any to raise another one. After this season? Who knows what the future holds.

Bruins 2023 prediction: A Stanley Cup will be risen in the city of Boston!
