The Boston Celtics will need a signature game out of Jayson Tatum to take care of business at home in a Game 7 showdown against the Philadelphia 76ers Sunday afternoon.

In fact, their entire core will need to show up, but with how these decisive games tend to go, there will be an unlikely hero who will step up to get the home crowd rockin’.  Who will be the Kelly Olynyk or Grant Williams of this die-or-go home battle with Joel Embiid, James Harden, and the Sixers?

Depending on how the team comes out, that player could vary.  We all know the spotlight will be on Tatum who finally broke out in Game 6 with a memorable fourth quarter.  We all know Jaylen Brown and Marcus Smart will bring the energy.  Robert Williams III will have his usual impact, but who will be that unexpected X-factor in Game 7?

Who will be the Boston Celtics improbable Game 7 hero?

The usual suspects would be Malcolm Brogdon or Derrick White.  Both players are important rotational pieces who have had their shining moments.  Neither would be considered unexpected at this point.

Then there is Al Hoford.  The veteran big man has been cold shooting the ball during this series.  He is due to break out, but a big performance out of Big Al wouldn’t be considered improbable.  In fact, it would be considered necessary to keep Embiid working on both ends of the court.

So, it’s down to the bench players.  Who will be that spark?  Who will be that energizer who either helps the team pull away from the 76ers or keep them in the game?  Who will step up and be the supporting X-factors in a game that will likely come down to how the best players perform?

Who will put their stamp on this game?

Here are 3 Boston Celtics players who could be improbable heroes of this Game 7 showdown.
