After coming up short in Week 1 against the Eagles, it’s time for the Patriots to turn the page to Week 2. With a tough divisional matchup against the Dolphins coming up on Sunday Night Football, they’ll need to be prepared.

New England is currently dealing with injuries all along its offensive line, however, which means some of those guys probably won’t be available on Sunday. There are also other players on the 53-man roster who are unlikely to suit up as well, especially if they didn’t make the best first impression during Week 1.

With that in mind, here are five Patriots players that fans shouldn’t expect to see on the field this weekend.

4 Patriots Inactives Week 2

1. Pharaoh Brown

The Pats signed Pharaoh Brown off the practice squad last week leading up to their game with the Eagles, and as expected, he barely played.

With Hunter Henry and Mike Gesicki handling most of the work at tight end, Brown is a distant TE3 on the depth chart. He only got on the field for 6 snaps during Week 1 and didn’t make much of an impact, failing to record a single target.

With Brown not showing much on offense, Bill Belichick may keep him on the bench this week. New England needs to be firing on all cylinders if it wants to keep up with Miami’s high-flying offense, and Brown is more limited offensively than Henry or Gesicki.

Brown will be lucky if he sneaks in a handful of snaps again, but it wouldn’t shock me if he ends up with a DNP, especially if the Patriots fall behind early and need to pass to catch up.
