2. Ian Book

Mac Jones may have lost in Week 1, but that doesn’t mean there’s any quarterback controversy. He more than held his own against the Eagles and turned in one of the best statistical games of his career, completing 35 of 54 pass attempts for 316 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Jones also overcame adversity, bouncing back from an early pick-six and making plays despite having two rookie offensive linemen and two rookie wide receivers.

Accordingly, don’t expect to see newcomer Ian Book in this game. He was just signed to the practice squad this week and is still learning New England’s offense, so he needs more time before he’s potentially game-ready.

With Jones locked in at RB1 and Bailey Zappe at RB2, Book won’t be needed in this one, especially since his lone NFL appearance was an absolute disaster (2 picks, 8 sacks).
