5. DeVante Parker

Looking at New England’s receiving corps, Parker jumps out as an obvious trade candidate.

Last year was a disappointment for Parker, and this year has been even worse. His receiving yards per game are down for the fourth straight year to 38.0 — his lowest total since 2018 (as are his 6.9 yards per target). He doesn’t have a touchdown yet, either, and his 9.5 yards per catch is easily a career-low.

Parker’s had a hard time staying healthy throughout his career, and those injuries seem to be catching up with him. He’s also 30 now, so he’s not as athletic as he used to be.

The former first-round draft pick hasn’t been the difference-maker that the Patriots were looking for when they traded for him before the 2022 season. If he doesn’t start making a bigger impact soon, New England shouldn’t hesitate to part ways with the veteran wideout.

Parker averaged 17.4 yards per catch last year — the second-highest mark of his career. That could make him an appealing option to a different team that thinks it can get more out of him in the passing game.
