5 Bruins On Thin Ice to Start 2024-25 Season

The Boston Bruins have experienced mixed results to begin the 2024-25 NHL season. As a result, these five players have already found themselves on thin ice.

4. Pavel Zacha, C/LW

After Patrice Bergeron retired last year, the Bruins needed players like Pavel Zacha to take their game to the next level. Fortunately, the Czech forward did just that as he tallied 21 goals and a personal-best 59 points while winning 54.8% of faceoffs.

Fast forward to now when Zacha is having an incredibly slow start to the 2024-25 schedule. The former 2015 first-rounder only has one goal and an assist through seven games while his faceoff percentage has dropped to 50.0% — his second-worst mark of the last

Zacha "only" had three points in his first seven games last season, so it's entirely possible that he'll heat up as more games are played. At the same time, continuing his drought could lead to his role temporarily diminishing until he breaks out of his funk.

Under contract for the next three seasons, Zacha has to begin a turnaround if he wishes to remain an integral part of the Bruins' plans.
