With the New Year finally upon us, here's a look at five Red Sox players who will likely leave Boston at some point in 2025.

2. Justin Wilson, RP

Looking to improve their bullpen, the Red Sox signed left-handed reliever Justin Wilson to a one-year contract early in the current offseason.

After missing the 2023 campaign due to Tommy John surgery, Wilson experienced an up-and-down run with the Cincinnati Reds last season. While the 37-year-old veteran displayed that he still has some decent velocity at this stage of his career, his 5.59 ERA and negative WAR left much to be desired.

If he can't improve on those numbers, it wouldn't be shocking if Wilson's first season in Boston is also his last. He's a low-risk option that the Red Sox can easily walk away from if he doesn't improve their left-handed pitching situation. If management thought otherwise, they likely would've signed him to a longer contract.

Barring an unexpected performance where he turns back the clock on his career, I just don't see Wilson staying with the Red Sox longer than the upcoming season (if he even makes it to the end).
