One of the biggest storylines of the 2025 MLB offseason was where former Houston Astros third baseman Alex Bregman was going to end up. The former four-time nominee for American League MVP took his time to sign with a team, waiting until a week before spring training to ink a deal. On February 15, Bregman signed a three-year $120 million deal with the Boston Red Sox.

As a result of this deal, Boston moved Rafael Devers to the designated hitter spot so that Bregman could play his best position. Although Devers wasn't too pleased, he did agree to move, and it seems that it was for the best as both players are performing well to start the season. That said, Bregman recently shared how he has been adjusting to the move to Boston.

On Monday, the 31-year-old appeared on MLB Tonight saying, "I love playing here... I can't say enough good things about my teammates and the coaches here in the organization." Bregman added, " I was telling my wife the first few days it felt like we were still on a road trip because we had just started the year on the road for like two weeks. But I'm getting fully adjusted now, and I feel comfortable here."

Alex Bregman Shares Glowing Report of Time in Boston So Far

Bregman is off to a torrid start in 2025. Through 13 games, he has hit .265/.373/.429. That puts him third in batting average, on-base percentage, and slugging on the team for players that have played all 13 games. The only two players Bregman is behind are rookie second baseman Kristian Campbell and right fielder Wilyer Abreu.

Devers is fourth on the team in these categories behind Bregman, hitting .373/.429/.801. It seems as though his switch to designated hitter didn't hurt his bat, despite his displeasure with the move.

While Bregman is going to cool off, Boston surely won't regret their decision to bring him in anytime soon. Nevertheless, Bregman's comments show he is acclimating well to the team and city.
