With the NBA draft less than a week away, teams are finalizing their draft boards, and workouts are done before the 2 day event begins. The Boston Celtics are one of many teams working out Kentucky Guard Jaxson Robinson, with their rival, the Los Angeles Lakers, being another, according to Arizona Republic's Duane Rankin.

Along with them, Robinson has completed pre-draft workouts with the Golden State Warriors and Sacramento Kings while meeting with the Phoenix Suns and Cleveland Cavaliers.

Robinson is an interesting prospect for the Celtics to look at. He transferred to Kentucky for his fifth year of college basketball after spending his freshman year at Texas A&M, his sophomore year at Arkansas, and his junior and senior years at BYU. Robinson's final collegiate season didn't end as expected, as he missed the end of the year after needing surgery on his wrist.

During his one year at Kentucky, Robinson played and started in 24 games and averaged 13 points and 3.5 rebounds per game. He saw career-best seasons in shooting and three-point percentage as he shot 43.2% from the field and 37.6% from downtown. Robinson did have a down year at the free-throw line, as after going 90.8% from the line the year prior, he only shot 76.3% this past season.

Many mock drafts don't mention Robinson's name, but ESPN's Jay Bilas believes that Robinson has a chance at getting drafted. In an interview with Kentucky Sports Radio(KSR), Bilas stated that he thinks “Jaxson Robinson, because of his ability to shoot the ball and shoot it from deep, has a very good chance of getting drafted.

Robinson plays a position of need for the Celtics if either Jrue Holiday or Sam Hauser gets dealt before the draft. The Celtics currently hold the 28th and 32nd picks in the NBA draft.

While most focus for the Celtics has been on who they might trade, the draft is just as important for the future of the team, given the second-apron issues they face. The first night of the NBA Draft begins on Wednesday, June 25th at 8 pm EST, with the second round the following day.
