The Boston Celtics suffered yet another disappointing home loss on Wednesday, this time at the hands of the Oklahoma City Thunder. They are now a troubling 23-12 at home and just got swept in the season series against a fellow championship favorite. Kristaps Porzingis missed his seventh straight game, but that is not an acceptable excuse against the Thunder who were without their All-Star forward Jalen Williams.
To make matters worse, OKC's superstar and MVP favorite Shai Gilgeous-Alexander continued to disrespect the Celtics even after the final buzzer sounded.

After the game, SGA's logo was reportedly projected all over the city of Boston as part of a Converse campaign. As Marc J. Spears noted, the logo was posted "Batman style" onto the TD Garden and Prudential Tower. Converse recently collaborated with SGA on his signature shoes, SHAI 001.
This marketing campaign caught the attention of Celtics fans, who were understandably not happy about the situation, especially since Converse is a brand founded in Massachusetts and headquartered in Boston.
The Celtics have plenty of rivals in the NBA, in both conferences. They don't have much of a history with the Thunder, but both teams are favored to win their respective conferences. In the case that they face each other in the NBA Finals, this will be another element that will add fuel to the fire.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander continued his dominant performance this season, putting up 34 points, five rebounds, and seven assists on 11/20 shooting from the field against the Celtics. To have a chance against OKC in a potential Finals matchup, Boston has to do a better job limiting his trips to the free-throw line and making him uncomfortable in getting to his spots. Perhaps the logo disrespect will light some fire under the Celtics if the teams play each other in June.
