The Boston Red Sox have yet another top prospect that's surging through the ranks. Jhostynxon "The Password" Garcia's younger brother, Johanfran "The Username" Garcia. Yes, that is by design.

Fun fact: When the Red Sox signed Garcia, he was offered more money than his older brother, worth $850,000 when his brother was only $350,000. In his first two seasons, from Rookie Ball to Single-A Salem, he was batting .271, with an OPS of .757, hitting six home runs, 60 RBIs, 94 hits, and 45 walks in 97 games played.

He was seemingly breaking out in 2024 last year, when he was batting .385 with two home runs, an OPS of 1.063, and five doubles in his 14 games on the season. It was a hot start, but he couldn't finish it. His season was cut short after he tore a ligament in his right knee while rounding the bases.

He didn't come back until the middle of the season this year, in 2025. He started in Rookie Ball, but that was for just 12 games. He was promoted to High-A Greenville and has gotten back to where he started from. He's hit six home runs, 19 RBIs, a .411 slugging percentage, and an OPS of .744.

The good thing is, unlike his older brother, he's a catcher. The Red Sox desperately need one in case Narvaez is due for regression next season. If that's the case, you may just see Garcia flying through the minor league system. He was once a No. 21 prospect in the system, but with the new draftees entering in and others improving while he was out recovering from injury, he's moved down to #28 on the list.

With the route that Garcia's been on, he could very well rise through the system next year. Even with more time this year, he'll be able to move through the ranks quickly if he keeps things up.
