New England Patriots fans will be paying close attention to the 2025 Pro Bowl when it takes place in Orlando, FL on Sunday. After all, quarterback Drake Maye will be making his Pro Bowl debut after a solid rookie season that left the Patriots fanbase excited about the future.

It's been a hectic first year for Maye, who also saw first-year head coach Jerod Mayo dismissed at the end of the regular season. Mayo has since been replaced by former New England linebacker Mike Vrabel, who already has the 22-year-old signal-caller singing his praises.

Patriots News: Drake Maye Shares Differences Between Mike Vrabel & Jerod Mayo

Preparing for the Pro Bowl on Friday afternoon, Maye spoke with SiriusXM NFL Radio about the Patriots' new coaches. The former UNC gunslinger revealed that Vrabel recently reached out to him and left quite the first impression.

"(Vrabel's) been awesome," Maye said. "Obviously, a guy who's done it and played in the league and won a Super Bowl, you have a respect of what he's done and seeing what he's done."

So, what's the main reason why Maye is looking forward to working with his new head coach?

"I think the biggest thing is he's been a head coach and he knows what it's like," the former 2024 third-overall pick revealed. "So excited to get up to New England and get things going."

Even though Maye didn't say it out loud, it's clear that he wasn't a fan of Mayo's lack of head coaching experience. The recently dismissed coach made questionable decisions throughout the year and reportedly needed management's help to fill out his staff due to his minimal connections.

Maye isn't the only one in New England who's looking forward to having Vrabel in town. Executive vice president of player personnel Eliot Wolf said working with the linebacker-turned-coach has been "awesome" due to the latter's "focus."

"The thing I like about it is, it's very focused and intentional. (Coach Vrabel) knows exactly what he wants," Wolf said.

Time will tell how much of an impact Vrabel's experience will make on Maye and the Patriots. The 49-year-old Akron, OH native was instrumental in the Tennessee Titans' success from 2018 to 2023, guiding them to a 54-45 record while winning two AFC South titles and making the 2019 AFC Championship Game.

FanDuel Sportsbook is currently listing the Patriots at +12000 odds (25th) to win Super Bow 60. We'll see how (and if) those odds change as Vrabel's vision continues coming to life.
