Patriots vs. Jets Injury Report
Each team released their first injury reports of the week on Wednesday afternoon. New England listed 15 total players on the injury report. Seven Patriots were listed as non-participants – including Curtis Jacobs, Anfernee Jennings, Vederian Lowe, Ja'Lynn Polk, Layden Robinson, Rhamondre Stevenson, and Keion White. Mayo confirmed on Wednesday that Polk has been placed into concussion protocol. Based upon the NFL's five-step protocol for a player to return from a concussion, Polk will most likely be unavailable to play on Sunday.
Maye remains on the injury list – albeit as a full participant – with an apparent knee ailment. The injury did not appear to significantly affect Maye in Sunday's loss to Jacksonville.
The Jets also provided an extensive injury report on Wednesday that included five non-participants.
Corner D.J. Reed was listed as a full participant after missing Week 7. Corner Michael Carter II has not played since Week 4 but was listed as a limited participant on Wednesday, suggesting that the Jets could receive a boost by having Reed and Carter back with Sauce Gardner in the New York secondary.
As Rich Cimini of ESPN NFL Nation pointed out, the Jets could be down to their third-string right guard Jake Hanson on the offensive line.
Rodgers was also present on the injury report as a limited participant with a knee and hamstring ailment, but it doesn't appear to be anything that should impact his availability for Sunday at this point in time.
Both teams are mandated to submit a game-status report on by 4 p.m. Eastern on Friday (in which players are designated as questionable, doubtful, or out), so Friday afternoon should provide a clearer projection for player availability.
