The New England Patriots had a lot of roster turnover this offseason when they handed over control to Jerod Mayo and Eliot Wolf.

One of the biggest moves came at quarterback, as the Pats switched over from Mac Jones to Drake Maye. Since making a start in Week 6, Maye has shown a lot of promise.

As for Jones, he was traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars in March for a 2024 sixth-round pick. He has started the last two games for the Jaguars, but that run may end in Week 13.

NFL News: Mac Jones May Be Getting Kicked to Curb in Week 13

Jacksonville quarterback Trevor Lawrence has been dealing with an AC joint sprain in his left shoulder that has forced him to miss the last two games. In the meantime, Jones has started for the Jags but hasn't actually lit the world on fire.

In 2024, Jones has gone 31-of-51 for 249 yards with zero passing touchdowns and three interceptions. In the limited opportunities, Jones didn't seem to capitalize. With Lawrence returning to practice, there is a chance he will play on Sunday.

Jones will head back to the bench if he's healthy enough to play. The Alabama product is playing in the final year of his rookie deal and will hit free agency this March. He didn't do himself any favors with the Jags and is slated to hit the bench soon.

Patriot fans know all too well what shaky Jones performances look like and are thrilled to put those days behind them. That's Jacksonville's problem now, and they don't seem happy with the production he's put on the field.
