The Boston Celtics will begin the next phase of their title defense on Sunday when they host the No. 7-seeded Orlando Magic at TD Garden in Game 1 of their best-of-seven series.

While the Celtics made it through the regular season with a 61-21 record, there are some question marks facing this group as they enter postseason play. Mainly, the health of All-Star wing Jaylen Brown, as the former California Golden Bears standout has been dealing with a lingering knee issue during the team's stretch run.

With the Celtics now one day away from opening their postseason run, Brown met with the media, and rather than attempting to downplay the significance of the issue, he just shot down the topic altogether.

Jaylen Brown Doesn’t Discuss Knee Injury on Saturday

The good news here is that Brown will not be under any minutes restriction despite the fact that he refused to discuss whatever issues he may still be having with his knee. As good as Jayson Tatum is, this Celtics roster is the most dangerous when both Tatum and Brown are sharing the floor and clicking on the offensive end.

Like he has done throughout his career, Brown was a contributor in a variety of ways throughout the 2024-25 regular season campaign as he owns averages of 22.2 points to go along with 5.8 rebounds and 4.5 assists in 34.3 minutes per game. To say that he is one of the key pieces of the puzzle for this team, along with Tatum, is a severe understatement when discussing what Brown means to Boston.

With the bulk of last year's title team coming back for another ride this season, Celtics fans have to feel good about their chances, assuming Brown is healthy and ready to go.
