The New England Patriots made wholesale changes to their coaching staff this offseason after hiring Mike Vrabel as the franchise's next head coach.
Unfortunately, one key member of the new coaching staff has not been present during OTAs or the team's minicamp this week after a health scare forced him to take time away from the franchise to address these issues.
While he did not offer a firm timetable for when the Patriots' new defensive coordinator will be able to rejoin the team, Vrabel did provide fans with a positive update on the health of his colleague.
Mike Vrabel Provides Update on Patriots DC Terrell Williams' Health
It is still unclear just what New England defensive coordinator Terrell Williams is suffering from but, whatever it is, doctor's orders have kept him in the Detroit area. However, Vrabel made it clear that Williams is doing well and should be rejoining the team as soon as he can.

No timeline for Williams' return.
While Williams hasn't been able to be on the field with his new players, that hasn't stopped him from making his voice heard by the players he will now be overseeing, as Williams has been meeting with Patriots defenders virtually, per 98.5 The Sports Hub.
Williams began his coaching career in 1998 and made the jump from the collegiate level to the NFL in 2012. This will be Williams' first foray into taking on the title of defensive coordinator, but he should be more than up for the challenge. In his most recent stops, Williams helped lead the Tennessee Titans' defense, which reached the AFC Championship game, as well as the Detroit Lions' defense, which was a monster during his time with the organization.
Patriots fans hope to welcome Williams back to the fold soon, as all of New England is patiently waiting for this franchise to return to prominence.
