Mandatory minicamps are happening around the NFL before training camp next month. It's a final tune-up before the pads come on.
The New England Patriots have a lot of new parts on the field getting valuable reps in. At the same time, the Jets, Bills, and Dolphins are holding their minicamps as well.
These teams made a flurry of moves over the past couple of months. The Dolphins signed QB Zach Wilson to a one-year, $6 million contract that can get up to $10 million.
They wanted to add a backup QB for Tua Tagovailoa, but it looks like Wilson is already off to a bad start in Miami.
Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald wrote Wilson had two passes (almost three) picked off in Tuesday's practice, including one that was returned for a touchdown. Jackson also added it's been an uneven offseason for Wilson.
Zach Wilson, continuing an uneven offseason, had two passes picked (including one returned for a TD) and nearly threw a third INT and second pick-six. https://t.co/i9fvC0mE1G

Zach Wilson Struggles in First Minicamp Practice
In addition to the interceptions, Wilson had a pass batted down and took a sack during Tuesday's practice.
This doesn't come as a surprise to Patriot fans, who watched Wilson struggle mightily from 2021-2023 with New York. He went 12-21 as the starter, completing 57% of his passes for 6,293 passing yards, 23 passing touchdowns, and 25 interceptions.
The Jets traded Wilson to the Denver Broncos ahead of the 2024 season, and he spent one year with them. He was able to sit on the bench for the entirety of the season, but it looks like he still didn't learn much.
During his tenure in New York, Wilson couldn't read defensive coverages. That led to him throwing terrible interceptions and holding onto the ball too long. It appears those problems are still with him, and it didn't take long to come out with the Dolphins.
Granted, Tagovailoa is the starter, but with his injury history, there's a good chance Wilson will start a few games. And trust me, Patriot fans wouldn't mind seeing that in 2025.
