The NFL legal tampering period opened up at noon ET, and teams around the league have made a flurry of additions. The New England Patriots have been one of the most active teams on the market.
They have already agreed to terms with DT Milton Williams, CB Carlton Davis, OLB Harold Landry, and LB Robert Spillane.
They didn't stop there and landed OT Morgan Moses. According to Mike Garafolo, New England and Moses agreed to terms on a three-year, $24 million deal that can go up to $28.5 million. To make this deal a bit sweeter, the Pats poached Moses from the New York Jets.
The Pats knew they needed to improve the offensive line, and bringing in Moses helps do that. One of the underrated parts of Moses is his durability. He's suited up in 14 games for 10 straight seasons and is known for playing through injuries. Just last season with New York, Moses had a grade 2 MCL tear, a meniscus issue, and a small fracture in the knee.
Despite that, he only missed two games, showcasing his toughness. That's the exact type of player New England is looking for as Mike Vrabel looks to reshape the culture in New England.
The Pats were tied for fourth in sacks allowed (52), and they can't afford for that to be the case again in 2025.
This past season, he posted a 63.3 overall grade, a 69.2 pass-blocking grade, and a 60.6 run-blocking grade per PFF. In addition, Moses only allowed 16 pressures and two sacks. His presence on the field and in the locker room will go a long way for the Patriots.
New England went into free agency with the most cap space in the league, and they didn't waste anything handing out massive deals.
