The New England Patriots entered offseason with the most cap space available in the NFL. With a roster that needed a ton of additions, New England didn't waste time this free agency.
They've signed the likes of Milton Williams, Carlton Davis, Robert Spillane, Morgan Moses, Harold Landry, and Mack Hollins.
The majority of these acquisitions have been on the have come on the defensive side of the ball but they need to make some quality signings at WR to make life easier for Drake Maye.
New England is attempting to make a swing in that area and reached out to free-agent WR Cooper Kupp, per Mike Giardi of the Boston Sports Journal. Giardi added that it's believed that Kupp wants to stay out on the West Coast, but the door hasn't been closed.
Per league source, the Patriots have reached out to Cooper Kupp. It is believed the wideout would prefer to stay on the West Coast, but he hasn't closed any doors.

Patriots Reached Out to Cooper Kupp
New England badly needs some more help in the passing game after no receiver finished with more than 621 yards in 2024.
Kupp was released by the Los Angeles Rams after spending eight seasons with them. Over 104 regular-season games, he finished with 634 catches (891 targets) for 7,776 receiving yards and 57 touchdowns.
Although he's had trouble staying healthy over the past three seasons, Kupp would immediately become the best receiver on the team for New England. He's known for being a crafty pass-catcher with secure hands.
It looks like he's comfortable being on the West Coast. He was born in Washington and went to Eastern Washington for college ball. Then he was drafted by the Rams, so his desire to stay on that side of the country makes sense.
The Pats would likely have to offer him a deal that he can't refuse to get him to come over to New England, but their effort in speaking with him indicates they understand that the group needs more production next season. We'll have to see this gets across the finish line but the Pats are making an effort.
