6. Oshane Ximines, LB

New England mostly stuck to the bargain bin in free agency this year, taking chances on veterans who weren't very in-demand. One of those signings was linebacker Oshane Ximines, who comes over from the New York Giants.

While Ximines enjoyed a five-year run in New York, the results weren't much to speak of. After hitting 4.5 sacks as a rookie, it was downhill from there, as he posted 0 sacks in three of his next four campaigns, including 2023.

In fact, Ximines was mostly a practice squad player for the Giants this past season. Considering he was barely part-time contributor on a 6-11 team, that doesn't bode well for his NFL future.

7. Christian Elliss, LB

Another LB on shaky footing is Christian Elliss.

The former Idaho standout was given an opportunity to show his worth on the Philadelphia Eagles for most of the 2023 season, suiting up in 12 contests for a squad that was desperate for help at linebacker.

Yet, the Eagles decided to cut bait on Elliss in December after he struggled to produce. The Pats then picked him up on waivers, but with just two tackles in four games for New England, his unimpressive play continued.

Elliss should feel fortunate to have survived roster cuts, but that doesn't mean he's going to last much longer in New England.
