2. Chukwuma Okorafor

After the Patriots went out and got Chuks Okorafor this offseason, there were a lot of questions about his ability to play left tackle, one of the most important positions in football.

Left tackle was largely neglected by the Patriots player personnel brass coming into the season, and Okorafor didn't seem like the solution. Okorafor was a natural right tackle, and underperformed in training camp and drew the ire of many Pats fans in the team's preseason finale against the Washington Commanders for multiple illegal formation calls.

Despite all of that, he began the season as the team's starting left tackle. Unfortunately, that was quite an abbreviated stint, as Okorafor couldn't hold onto the starting role for even a whole quarter.

Okorafor was replaced after only 12 snaps, as New England opted to go with third-year lineman Vederian Lowe instead at left tackle for the remainder of the game. The decision did not appear to be injury-related.

Third-round pick Caedan Wallace made his NFL debut by featuring in substitution packages at several points when New England went with six offensive linemen.

Having to replace your starting left tackle due to poor performance on only the 13th play of the season is never a good sign. We'll see if Jerod Mayo is asked about the decision postgame and how that situation unfolds as next week progresses.
