3 Bruins on the Nice List (& 2 on the Naughty List) This Christmas
Naughty List #2: Milan Lucic
Bruins fans were excited when Milan Lucic returned to the franchise one-year deal over the summer. After all, had been gone from Boston for eight years after playing 666 total games and winning the 2011 Stanley Cup in a Bruins jersey to begin his career.
The love for Lucic disappeared quickly, though. After only playing four games this season and landing on the injured reserve with an ankle injury, Lucic was "arrested on suspicion of assault and battery on a family member" in November and entered into the NHL/NHLPA player assistance program about a week later.
Barring any unforeseen circumstances, Lucic's NHL career will likely be over. His actions are inexcusable, but hopefully, he's getting the help he needs with the assistance program. Still, it's going to be tough to look back at his entire Bruins career without having a bad taste in a lot of fans' mouths.
Lucic could have been a hero in Boston for years to come, but he clearly fumbled the ball in his return.
