3 Celtics Playing Their Final Postseason in Boston
2. Svi Mykhailiuk, SG/SF
Svi Mykhailiuk has been one of the more uninspiring Celtics to watch this season.
The 2023-24 season has been the most unproductive of the 26-year-old's six-year career. As of April 11, Mykhailiuk is averaging a career-worst 3.1 points per game while shooting 39.6% from the floor and 36.5% from deep. Although the nine minutes he averages per outing isn't helping his production, his 18.1 points per 100 possessions — the third-worst mark of his career — further shows how bad he's been.
Unfortunately for Mykhailiuk, I don't see his time in Boston continuing. He clearly isn't one of Muzzulla's favorites, proven by his lack of playing time, and it isn't as if he even capitalizes on the opportunities he's given. It's even worth noting that he hasn't tallied a double-digit point total since the final game of the 2022-23 season.
Maybe another team will give Mykhailiuk a chance to bounce back or maybe they won't. All I know is that if he plans to continue his basketball career, it likely won't be with the Celtics (or even in the NBA at this rate).
