3 Patriots Still on Thin Ice After Week 7 Win

One win doesn't erase an entire season's worth of frustrations.

2. DeVante Parker

Boy, I sure am glad Bill Belichick gave DeVante Parker a three-year extension this summer rather than retaining Jakobi Meyers or signing DeAndre Hopkins.

What a joke. Parker's been terrible this year, and the only reason he hasn't caught more flak for it is because Belichick's other big receiver signing, JuJu Smith-Schuster, has somehow been even worse.

Through 6 games so far, Parker has a grand total of 14 catches on 23 targets for 144 yards and no touchdowns. He's on pace for fewer than 400 yards and at this point he'll be lucky to crack 300.

Worse, Parker has a major attitude problem. He had a chance to come up with a huge catch late in New England's Week 6 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders. He dropped a perfectly thrown ball by Jones down the sideline, which ended up costing the Patriots the game.

Afterwards, he showed absolutely zero accountability for his mistake, saying the ball hit his fingertips even though he clearly dropped it.

The veteran wideout has been even more of a non-factor lately with just 2 catches on 4 targets for 15 yards over his last 2 games combined. Coming off back-to-back games with only 1 catch and fewer than 10 yards, his value has never been lower.

Can we please just get rid of this guy already?
