The Boston Celtics are betting favorites to win the NBA Finals, sitting atop the Eastern Conference with an undefeated home record and deep, versatile roster.

They've come up just short in recent years, but this represents Boston's best chance to win a title since 2008. Led by Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, this team is ready to win.

To that point, three stats prove the Celtics are winning the Finals. Let's go through them here:

3 Stats Proving Celtics Will Win NBA Finals

1. 8.5 Net Rating - 2nd in NBA

Since 2005, every single NBA champion had a top-eight net rating in the league. Boston currently trails only Philadelphia in net rating with an 8.5 mark that would've been better than all but three champions from 2005-2019.

The Sixers are strong competition and Philly's 11.5 net rating is impressive. That being said, the Celtics have achieved more postseason success in recent years and look ready for another deep run following the acquisitions of Kristaps Porzingis and Jrue Holiday.

At the very least, we know that Boston meets a basic prerequisite for true Finals contention.

Provided the Celtics don't fall off a cliff, they'll likely enter the postseason as favorites to win the Eastern Conference and possibly still the Finals. If they continue dominating the competition like they are now, they'll be as good of a bet as anyone.
