Treylon Burks, Tennessee Titans

The New England Patriots are in an excellent position to give a second chance to talented players who have struggled in their previous destinations. In the post-Bill Belichick era, the Patriots need to bring in as much talent and upside as possible while there isn't a pressing expectation to win.

Treylon Burks fits that mold of a player. The former first-round pick out of Arkansas has worn out his welcome in Tennessee and needs a fresh start. On a team with Calvin Ridley, DeAndre Hopkins, and Tyler Boyd, he is never going to get the chance to shine.

There is a very real chance that this move will not work. Burks has 49 catches, 665 yards, and one touchdown in his 22 games in the NFL. His role diminished significantly over the last two years with the Titans, with talks of him having to play special teams to prove his worth increasing.

Some of that lack of production is due to inconsistent quarterback play and a poor scheme. Will the Patriots have a better system in place for Burks to show what he can do?

Even if the answer is no, this is a flyer that will not cost the Patriots much. So, it can't hurt to try.
