Hunter Renfrow, Free Agent

If the Patriots don't want to get involved in the trade market, they could turn their attention to the available free agents. The wide receiver that makes the most sense both age and talent-wise is Hunter Renfrow.

The former Raiders playmaker hasn't been able to replicate his 2021 season where he went over 1,000 yards, scored nine touchdowns, and made the Pro Bowl but he can still add a different wrinkle to the Patriots offense.

Dubbed the "Slot Machine", Renfrow is a different type of pass-catcher than the ones New England has. He is a role-specific player who can keep the offense moving in the right scheme, boasting an impressive 10.7 yards per catch for his career. When healthy, he has a reliable catch rate, being able to run routes and make catches in tight quarters.

Being able to throw to a player like Renfrow could do wonders for Maye's development in his rookie season. Don't expect the former Clemson standout to make a big impact in New England but you can do much worse for your WR4/5.
