4. JaMycal  Hasty, RB

JaMycal Hasty is one of the many returning faces on the 2024 offseason roster, however, Patriots fans didn't see much of him last year. After being claimed off waivers in November, the 27-year-old veteran running back only played 10 special teams snaps across two games.

Even with Hasty being signed through 2024, Patriots fans didn't expect much from him this offseason. Some players thrive when doubt is in the air, though, and the former Baylor rusher has proven that it might be best not to underestimate him.

Hasty has earned a ton of respect from his teammates and coaches as a pass-catcher, making plays throughout the last month or so. He's been a spark plug for the offense when things weren't rolling as consistently and even had a two-touchdown performance during last week's voluntary OTAs.

Boston Herald's Doug Kyed views Hasty as a potential 53-man roster candidate, stating that the fifth-year back is "making a case for a roster spot with his receiving skills." Considering how Rhamondre Stevenson isn't the most efficient pass-catching RB, it's easy to see why Mayo would love to have a change-of-pace/passing downs rusher like Hasty on the roster.

After how he's looked this spring, you can bet that Patriots fans will be keeping a close eye on Hasty into the summer months.
