4 Patriots Fighting For Their Jobs After Free Agency
These four Patriots have difficult roads ahead to starting roles.

Tyquan Thornton, WR
Another wide receiver that the Patriots had a lot of hope for but didn't show anything during his time in Foxborough is Tyquan Thornton. The former second-round pick of the Patriots was almost invisible last season, playing in only nine games and registering 13 catches for 91 yards without a score.
Thornton has six drops in 22 games in his career, 51.5 catch%, and 62.0 and 65.7 passer ratings when targeted in back-to-back years.
He likely starts the season as WR5 on the depth chart. If the Patriots target a wideout in the 2024 NFL Draft, and they probably should with one of their mid-round picks, Thornton could fall farther in the hierarchy. He desperately needs to show more in his third year to warrant continuing investment in him.
