4 Patriots Who Will Be Traded by the End of October

The New England Patriots' start to the 2024 NFL season has been rough, to say the least. As a result, these four players could be traded before October ends.

3. Josh Uche, LB/DE

Josh Uche garnered plenty of attention with his breakout performance two years ago. Despite playing 15 games without a start, the former Michigan Wolverine set new career highs in terms of solo tackles (23), sacks (11.5), and forced fumbles (2).

Unfortunately, Uche couldn't pick up from where he left off. His numbers came back to earth during the 2023 season as he finished with eight solo tackles and 3.0 sacks while playing the same number of games. His regression saw his name included in various 2023 trade deadline rumors, however, a deal never materialized.

Things can change quickly, though, and that appears to be the case with the 26-year-old defender. Uche has registered eight solo tackles and a sack through the Patriots' first four games and his 74.0 pass rush grade is the 21st-best mark among 108 eligible edge defenders on Pro Football Focus.

Given Uche's history of being somewhat streaky, the Patriots could be tempted to strike when the iron is hot. As decent as Uche is playing right now, he could regress to his old self at a moment's notice. Besides, he's also playing on an expiring contract that could be attractive to a potential Super Bowl contender.
