5. Calvin Anderson

New England's offensive line has been a mess all season, but Anderson remains on the outside looking in.

After appearing in the Patriots' first four games of the season, Anderson apparently didn't make enough of an impression to keep earning playing time. The veteran tackle has now been inactive in three of the last four games, twice as a healthy scratch and once with an illness.

Anderson should be healthy this week after missing last week's game with an illness, but that's still no guarantee he plays based on how little he's seen the field recently. After barely playing at all for the past month, it'd be shocking to see Anderson on the active roster this week in a game that New England simply can't afford to lose.

Unless the offensive line really gets crushed with injuries, there's a decent chance we won't see Anderson again for a while, if not for the rest of the season. Expect him to be scratched again in Week 9, especially after logging another illness-related DNP on Wednesday.
