6. Hunter Renfrow

Finally, slot specialist Hunter Renfrow is hitting the market with the Las Vegas Raiders planning his release, and the Pats should at least kick the tires on the idea of adding him.

The Clemson alum is just two seasons from a breakout 2021 campaign that saw him record 103 receptions, 1,038 yards and 9 touchdowns en route to his first-ever Pro Bowl.

A lot's changed since then, though, with injuries and the Raiders' struggles dragging him down. He's failed to go over 330 yards since 2021, and his lackluster reception total (61) over the past two years is a serious knock on him as a supposed safety valve.

However, this is the kind of once-productive player the Pats should take a chance on. It's very possible he regains at least some of his form away from Las Vegas' dysfunctional environment. And his previous success as someone to target for easy receptions would fit perfectly with a rookie signal-caller.

It should also be dirt cheap to sign Renfrow following some unimpressive recent years, which makes this a low-cost move with some nice upside if he turns it around.
