As most free agents are signed and the NFL Draft is finally done, the focus now shifts to the 2024 season.

There hasn't been a team that has undergone more overturns this offseason than the New England Patriots.

The Patriots no longer have Bill Belichick in charge, handing over the head coaching gig to Jerod Mayo. They recently named Eliot Wolf as the executive vice president of player personnel.

The Pats also have Jacoby Brissett and Drake Maye in the quarterback room heading into a new era in 2024.

The NFL schedule is going to be officially released on May 15 at 8 p.m. ET and fanbases around the league will see the upcoming matchups. The latest news hints at the Patriots starting the 2024 season on the road.

Patriots News: Buzz Around the Building Is that New England Starts the Season on The Road

ESPN's Mike Reiss has been talking to some people inside the Pats facility and believes they will go on the road for Week 1.

He said, "Some of the buzz around the team facility in recent days was that the Patriots were preparing for Mayo's head-coaching debut to come on the road. Their third preseason game is also expected to be on the road, which would give the team a dry run of how it plans to handle travel."

New England has opened up six of the last seven seasons at home, including last year against the Philadelphia Eagles.

The fans will have an answer sooner rather than later on where the Pats will begin the 2024 season but it sounds like they will have to wait until at least Week 2 to see the Pats trot onto the grass at Gillette Stadium.
