For the first time in over two decades, Bill Belichick will not be coaching this year. The New England Patriots and the iconic head coach went their separate ways this offseason as the Pats embark on a new rebuilding journey and Belichick still trying to decide on his next gig.

In the meantime, he can't stay away from the practice field. Over the weekend, Belichick went to the Washington Huskies practice to visit his son Steve, who was recently hired as the new defensive coordinator there.

Belichick participated in the coaching clinic run by Washington head coach Jedd Fisch for local high school coaches. The 71-year-old was completely decked out in Huskies gear.

Bill Belichick Hard to Recognize in Non-Patriots Gear

It will certainly be an adjustment period for fans in general who aren't used to seeing Belichick in anything but Patriots gear.

It will be a similar adjustment period for the Washington Huskies as well. After making it to the national championship game last season where they lost to Michigan, head coach Kalen DeBoer left for Alabama to replace Nick Saban.

The Huskies proceeded to hire Jedd Fisch, who was a quarterbacks coach with the Patriots in 2020 under Belichick. Steve Belichick followed him there after his father's tenure in Foxborough came to an end.

This will be the first coaching gig Steve Belichick will have outside of the Patriots organization. We will continue to keep track of how he does as a first-time defensive coordinator.
