The Boston Celtics were the top team during the regular season and had a league-best 64-18 record. That helped them secure the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference and they've taken care of business thus far.

They've knocked out both the Miami Heat and the Cleveland Cavaliers in five games, advancing to the Eastern Conference Finals for the third straight year.

Now the Celtics own a 2-0 lead over the Indiana Pacers and their path to the NBA Finals just got easier with the latest development.

Celtics News: Tyrese Haliburton's Availability Is In Doubt

Per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Pacers have 'real concern' regarding Tyrese Haliburton's availability and impact for the rest of the Eastern Conference Finals.

Haliburton left Game 2 with a sore left hamstring, which is the same one he injured on Jan. 8 against the Celtics. He was forced to miss 10 of the next 11 games when this injury happened earlier in the year.

This bodes well in the favor of the Celtics, as Haliburton is one of the best players for Indiana. In the 2024 NBA Playoffs, he averaged 18.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, and a team-high 8.2 assists per game.

The Celtics already own a 2-0 edge and the potential loss of Haliburton may be the nail in the coffin for the Pacers.

Indiana doesn't have enough high-end talent to deal with the likes of Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Derrick White.

Boston was already a heavy favorite with Haliburton on the court but now it has ballooned even more.

The Celtics are the overwhelmingly favorite at -230 to win the NBA title according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
