Christian Barmore Reveals What He Bought With New Extension Money
GM Eliot Wolf and HC Jerod Mayo are the new men in charge in Foxborough going forward. It's a tough task to help reshape a team that's in a rebuild but they have taken the bulls by the horns.
New England entered the offseason with an abundance of cap space at their disposal. They made some quality signings in free agency but their best moves were retaining its own players like Mike Onwenu, Kyle Dugger, and Hunter Henry.
They continued to keep their players in town when they gave DT Christian Barmore a big-time four-year, $92 million extension with $41.8 million fully guaranteed.
With some extra change in his pocket now, Barmore told the media what he recently bought himself.
Patriots News: Christian Barmore Says What Gift He Recently Bought Himself
May 20 was the first day of OTAs and players spoke to the media after the first practice.
Barmore was asked what gift he bought after inking his massive extension. He responded by saying he got himself some new fishing equipment. After getting that kind of money, it's a good thing to treat yourself to a nice gift.
The 24-year-old was a second-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. He continued to improve in every season and he took off in 2023.
Last season, he finished with 64 total tackles, 13 tackles for loss, and a career-high 8.5 sacks, en route to his massive payday.
With Barmore heading into his fourth NFL season, he looks to be dominant on the field so he can continue adding more fishing equipment to his collection.
