8. Seventh Round (228th Overall) via Chicago Bears: Bub Means, WR, Pittsburgh

New England assistant wide receivers coach Tiquan Underwood worked with Means for the last two seasons while Underwood was the wide receivers coach at Pitt.

Means, a 6'2", 215-pound pound wideout, hauled in 41 passes for 721 yards and six scores in 12 games last season. NFL.com laid out what Patriots fans could expect from the potential late-round pick.

"Big receiver with build-up speed who should be a natural fit for teams employing a layers-based passing scheme. For his size, Means is surprisingly adept at slipping press and shows an ability to create separation on over routes and go routes once he hits top speed."

NFL.com scouting report

A reunion between Means and Underwood, who played for the Patriots himself, could very well be in the works.
